Base data was originally gathered by Spatial Dynamics. Due to large amount of unknowns that still exist in database all storm drain infrastructure is in the process of being field checked by ACHD's Maintenance & Operations Drainage. This layer contains storm drain pipe information, such as type of structure, size, outfall info and any additional details associated with pipe. The mapping of Ada County's stormwater drainage is in response to EPA's Phase I & II of the NPDES Storm Water Program. The GIS file database will fulfill the inventory & mapping requirements of all inlets and outfalls within ACHD's jurisdiction. In addition to fulfilling the EPA requirement, ACHD will maintain the mapped stormwater system components in GIS format to enable more efficient and accurate system management, maintenance, and analysis. |
